Plans and Sessions
The free and paid plans, how many sessions each runs at once, and how to upgrade, change or cancel a plan.
Every plan runs the same browser, on any number of your machines. Plans differ only in how many sessions run at once; the pricing page shows them side by side.
What a session is
Each persona that is running takes one session. Your plan sets how many run at once, counted across all your machines, and a persona beyond that waits until a session is free. See Sessions.
Free plans
| Plan | Sessions at once | How you get it |
|---|---|---|
| Free, no account | 1, on this machine | bauta setup on a machine with no license key |
| Free account | 3 | Sign up with GitHub: bauta login, or on the website |
| Trial | 10, for the first 30 days | A new account whose GitHub account is at least 30 days old |
No card is needed. A new account starts on the trial when its GitHub account is at least 30 days old, and on the free account's 3 sessions otherwise. When the trial ends, the account keeps 3 sessions.
Registering or using several accounts to get more than one free trial or free plan is against the Terms.
Paid plans
| Plan | Sessions at once | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | 10 | $15 | $150 |
| Team | 40 | $39 | $390 |
| Business | 300 | $149 | $1,490 |
| Scale | 3,000 | $399 | $3,990 |
Scale takes more sessions in blocks of 3,000, at $399 a month each, up to 10 blocks. A year costs ten months, for a plan or a block: two months free. Prices are in US dollars, and tax is added at checkout.
Upgrade
From the terminal, bauta upgrade prints the pricing page's address:
bauta upgrade
# https://bauta.dev/pricing?from=cliOn your dashboard, Upgrade opens the pricing page. A paid plan applies to the license key you already have as soon as the purchase is complete, so your machines keep the same key.
Change your plan
While you have a subscription, the pricing page marks your current plan and offers Switch to on the others. A change takes effect at once: the difference is charged or credited for the rest of the billing period, as shown before you confirm.
Manage billing
Payments are processed by Paddle, the merchant of record for every order. On your dashboard, Manage billing opens Paddle's customer portal for your subscription. The dashboard also shows your plan and the date it renews or ends.
If a payment does not go through, the dashboard says so and asks you to update your card to keep your plan. If the payment still cannot be collected after retries, the subscription may be canceled, and the license returns to the free plan.
Cancel
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, through Manage billing. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, and the dashboard shows the date it ends. Then your license returns to the free plan, with 3 sessions.
Cancelling does not by itself refund charges already paid. A yearly subscription, once cancelled, does not renew at the end of its term, and the term runs to its end.
Refunds
Paddle handles refunds, under the Refund Policy. In short, the free plan and the trial let you try bauta before you pay, and fees are not refundable except where the law or Paddle's buyer terms require it. A verified duplicate or accidental charge is refunded. A chargeback or payment dispute may suspend the account and its license key while it is pending.
