Refund Policy

Last updated October 21, 2026

1. General Policy

Bauta sells digital software subscriptions through our online reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for all our orders, which handles refunds. Except where otherwise required by applicable law or by Paddle's buyer terms, all fees are non-refundable. Bauta does not offer a voluntary refund window or a money-back guarantee; the free plan and the free trial let you try Bauta Browser before you pay. Subscription fees are charged for a defined billing period and are earned in full at the start of that period.

2. Subscription Billing

Customers are charged at checkout when they subscribe through our website. Subscription renewals are billed according to the selected billing cycle, monthly or yearly.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund charges already paid. Your plan continues until the end of the paid billing period, and your license then returns to the free plan.

4. Yearly Subscriptions

Yearly subscriptions are offered at a discount against the monthly price of the same plan. That discount is granted in consideration of the full committed term.

Except where otherwise required by applicable law or by Paddle's buyer terms, cancelling a yearly subscription stops it from renewing at the end of the committed term. It does not end the committed term early, and it does not entitle you to any refund, credit, or prorated reimbursement of that term.

5. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory consumer right that applies to you, including the right of withdrawal described in Section 4a of our Terms of Service for consumers located in the European Union or the United Kingdom. Where a mandatory legal right, or Paddle's buyer terms, require a refund, that requirement prevails over this Refund Policy to the extent of the conflict.

6. Duplicate or Accidental Charges

If a duplicate charge or clear payment error occurred, contact us and include the relevant transaction details. Verified duplicate or accidental charges will be refunded.

7. Suspended or Terminated Accounts

Except where otherwise required by applicable law or by Paddle's buyer terms, no refund, credit, or prorated reimbursement will be provided for any unused subscription period where your account or license has been suspended or terminated due to a confirmed breach of our Terms of Service, our Acceptable Use Policy, or the Bauta Browser Binary License.

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider, we may immediately suspend your account, subscription, access to the service, and any associated license key without prior notice while the dispute is pending. Where permitted by applicable law, we may permanently terminate access if the dispute is determined to be fraudulent, abusive, or resolved in our favor.
