Terms of Service

Last updated October 21, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Bauta Browser and related services provided by the operator of Bauta Browser ("Bauta", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, purchasing, subscribing to, or using our software, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Service

Bauta provides Bauta Browser, a Chromium-based browser and gateway for developers and technical teams who run browser automation, with free and paid plans. Our services may include software access, updates, documentation, and support.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, to create an account or use the service.

You sign in with a GitHub account. You are responsible for keeping your GitHub account and your license key confidential, and for all activity under your account and your license key. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account or purchasing a subscription.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse service, deny or suspend access, decline to open, suspend, or close any account, or deactivate any subscription entitlement, at any time and without prior notice.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Subscriptions are billed according to the plan selected at checkout. Plans differ in how many sessions may run at once. Fees, billing cycles, taxes, and renewal terms are displayed before purchase. By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to charge the applicable fees for each billing period until you cancel.

A change to another plan during a billing period takes effect immediately, and the difference is charged or credited for the rest of the period, as shown before you confirm the change. If a payment cannot be collected after retries, the subscription may be canceled and your license returns to the free plan.

4a. EU/UK Consumers: Immediate Supply and Right of Withdrawal

Bauta Browser is digital content supplied immediately. A paid plan applies to your license key as soon as your purchase is completed, and by purchasing you request that this supply begin at once.

If you are a consumer located in the European Union or the United Kingdom purchasing for personal, non-business purposes, you would ordinarily have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. By completing your purchase you expressly consent to Bauta beginning supply of the digital content immediately, and you acknowledge that you thereby lose that right of withdrawal once supply has begun. Supply begins when the paid plan is applied to your license key.

Where the right of withdrawal has not been lost, a withdrawal request will be handled in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer right that cannot be waived. Any additional refund rights are governed by our Refund Policy.

4b. Fair Use

All plans, packages, and usage allowances are subject to fair and reasonable use consistent with their intended purpose. We reserve the right to review, limit, throttle, or restrict usage patterns that are abusive, disproportionate, or inconsistent with normal use of the applicable plan, even where such usage remains within stated numerical limits.

You may not register or use multiple accounts to obtain more than one free trial or free plan.

5. License and Permitted Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software for your internal business or technical purposes.

Use of the Bauta Browser binary is also subject to the Bauta Browser Binary License published with the software, as updated from time to time. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Binary License regarding the binary itself, the Binary License controls.

A paid subscription may provide access to more sessions at once, support, updates, commercial features, account access, or related services. It does not transfer ownership of the software or override the applicable Binary License.

Bauta does not act as a data controller or data processor solely by providing the Bauta Browser software for data that you independently access, generate, collect, or process through your own use of the software and that Bauta does not receive or control. You remain solely responsible for such data and for complying with all applicable legal and regulatory obligations relating to it.

6. Restrictions

You may not copy, resell, redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works based on the software except where expressly permitted in writing by Bauta. You may not use the software in a way that violates applicable laws, third-party rights, or these Terms.

You may not redistribute, bundle, embed, pre-install, resell, sublicense, or provide Bauta Browser as part of a product, hosted service, browser-as-a-service offering, or service for third-party customers without a separate written OEM or SaaS license from Bauta.

You may not share or publish your license key, or assign, transfer, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent from Bauta.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the service only as our Acceptable Use Policy allows. In particular, you agree not to use the service for unlawful activity, unauthorized access, credential stuffing, brute-force login attempts, automated account creation, circumvention of authentication on systems you do not own or have authorization to test, fraud, identity theft, or unauthorized data collection.

You are solely responsible for how you use the service, including any harm, loss, or damage caused to any third party arising from your use of the service.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms of service of any third-party website or platform you access through the service.

8. Updates and Availability

We may update, improve, modify, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time. We aim to maintain reliable access, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Updates, patches, new versions, and support may be provided according to the applicable plan, but are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing.

8a. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials, internet or telecommunications failures, or third-party service or infrastructure outages, including outages of GitHub, Cloudflare, Paddle, or our hosting providers.

8b. Maintenance and Emergency Suspension

We may temporarily suspend access to the service, in whole or in part, for scheduled maintenance, infrastructure changes, or emergency measures reasonably necessary to protect the security, integrity, or availability of our systems. Where practicable, we will provide advance notice of planned maintenance; emergency suspensions may occur without prior notice.

9. Intellectual Property

Bauta and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the software, documentation, branding, and related materials. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Bauta and its licensors.

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, commercialize, and incorporate such feedback, suggestions, or ideas without restriction, attribution, or compensation to you.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you breach these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or the Bauta Browser Binary License, fail to pay applicable fees, or use the service in a way that may create legal, security, or operational risk. Where we determine that such a breach has occurred, we may freeze your account and license and investigate before deciding on further action, including permanent termination.

We may also suspend access, pending investigation and without prior notice, where we suspect unusual or unlawful use of the service, suspicious account activity, or activity that may damage, disrupt, or compromise our servers or infrastructure.

11. Disclaimer

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Detection and anti-automation technologies used by third-party websites and platforms change frequently and without notice. We do not warrant or guarantee that the service will avoid detection by, remain compatible with, or operate successfully on any particular website, platform, detection technology, or anti-automation system at any given time.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bauta will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service. This includes, without limitation, any suspension, restriction, or termination of your account by a third-party website or platform.

Bauta's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the lesser of one hundred fifty US dollars (US $150) or the amount actually paid by you for the service during the three (3) months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bauta, its current and future operators, affiliates, licensors, contributors, officers, directors, employees, contractors, authors, and copyright holders from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, unlawful activity, violation of these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or the Bauta Browser Binary License, or violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Bauta Browser, or its applicable legal entity or successor, is established. Any disputes arising under or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

15. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. These Terms, together with our Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bauta regarding the service.

15a. Modifications to These Terms

We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address on your account and/or a notice on our website or dashboard. Continued use of the service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
